I finally have a breather. Wednesday will be my last presentation in SMU. Meanwhile, I’ve already submitted my last report for the school. The feeling is just kind of weird. Not that I’m complaining though.

My beloved sister drove my car, got the tire punctured. Called me to tell me that it was punctured. And asked if I could take the car back to change the tire for her.

All this while, one thought was running through my head. Do I look like a mechanic? Thinking that I didn’t, I told her to go change the tire to the spare and I’ll take the car to the workshop to repair the busted tire.

At 3pm, I called her to ask her where the car was and whether I could go take it.

“Yeah! It’s at my in-laws place. You can go and take it. * PAUSE * but I haven’t changed the tires yet…. Sorry…”

Seriously. So guess who had to call his childhood friends to go with him to her in-laws place, spend almost 30 minutes trying to change the tire in the mother fucking rain. Before bringing the tire to the tire shop where he got the BEST service ever.

At the tire shop…

I parked the car, got out of the car, INTO THE RAIN AGAIN and proceeded to open my boot. “Uncle ar, can help me repair this tire?”

To this, I got no reply. He just walked to the boot, took out the punctured tire and started doing what people do to repair punctured tires. At this time, another man got up and started to do an inspection around my car. He then took a jack and started raising the car to replace the spare tire. Note, all this was done without a single word being said to me. At this point, yx looked at me and said, “hey have they spoken to you yet?”

“No?”

“Then how do you know they know what you want them to do?”

“I dunno. But it looks like they’re doing the right thing…”

“ermmmm…. Good luck.”

After they changed the tire, one of them came up to me and said, “ten dollars”

I paid him the money and asked him to check the pressure on the rest of the tires. He turned and walk away, checked all the tires, walked back and gave me a thumbs up sign. Seriously. What is wrong with people now a days.
