Living the life of an auditor in a big 4 firm is bad enough, the hours are fantastic, the pay not so fantastic, the people are nice enough, some people are just not nice enough. it's tough enough being a small fish in the sea, it's even tougher being a small fish with a big fish set out to eat you alive and spit out your bones.
fuck. that's life.
I am Schmetterling, hear me roar!
This is the second coming of the return of the rise of the revivial of the resurrection of the... Okay, you should be getting the drift by now.

Quote of the day from Mi Mi
"The sales person couldn't understand what colour i wanted..."
"What colour did you want?"
"I wanted the blown bag. But she kept taking the brack bag... so I told her, I want the BLOWN bag. Not the BRACK bag..."

Jasmin
My friend Jasmin. Lent me a piece of paper to act as a bookmark.
After I marked my book. She took it out of the book and said, "let me give you a better book mark."
(She didn't mark the page I was at before she took out the book mark)

Fossil
It's been a really long time since i've left a mark at this place.
Life's been really good so far. I can safely say that I lack nothing, in fact, the only thing i lack is a lack of weight loss. Which really means that I've gained (weight), which is not really a bad thing (to some people). But in my case, it most definitely is not a good thing.
I've begun blading or rather I've begun picking up blading once again because the missus is an avid blader. To this date, I've bladed 4 times which has seen me evolve from a panda with wheels for feet, to a whale which can't stop.
Work has been kind. I would have done nothing to date if my friend didn't randomly ask me to help some random manager to do some random job for 4 hours. At least now my duck is broken and before you know it, the work will just keep coming.
The premier league has been interesting to say the least. Hull City is currently in 3rd place, Tottenham is still last with an amazing tally of 2 points from 7 games. And most shocking of all, Loserpool is 2nd place! Imagine that! Who would have thought that they would be a title contender! Well it's too soon to predict anything but I would be suprised to see Loserpool still in contention for the title come December.
Msn is over-rated. Once you're online for 8 hours a day 5 days a week, well, make that 6 hours a day once you factor in lunch time. You realise that there aren't that many people you genuinely want to talk to. And forcing a conversation for 6 hours straight is just that. Forced.
My friend since 10 just broke up. She's doing surprisingly well, despite her decision to suddenly mobilise me. Which made me I think that she was really upset, only to see her surprisingly, well!
There are exactly 4 circular lights above where I am sitting. Of which only 3 are working. And in a weird way, I think it relates back to my friends, of which there are only 4 of us left in the office. One has gone to Queens Way to buy shoes... That leaves us with only 3. The difference is that out of these 3 workers, only 1 is working. But at least there are still 3 of us...

I.DONT.UNDERSTAND.WHAT.IS.SO.DIFFICULT.ABOUT.GETTING.TAXI.DRIVERS.TO.TURN.ON.THEIR.METERS.
It just goes to show how effective law enforcement is in a country. If they cannot even regulate a regulated industry like the taxi industry, one can only wonder how effective they will be when other issues such as organized crime comes about. Little wonder then that the crime rate is so fucking high in this country. Cases of girls being kidnapped 100m away from their homes before getting raped then killed are so common here, I hardly bat an eyelid when I hear about it.
The situation regarding taxi drivers are so bad that even the hotel staff shyly admit that the ride would cost me RM 4 by meter, which is never turned on. So be prepared to pay RM 7 usually but do NOT pay more than RM 10. Fantastic.
Day 2, we boarded a cab who demanded RM 20 and despite the fact he refused to lower the price he started driving off. Mother fucker. Finally we settled at RM 10 but that’s not the point.
What is the problem with this country. Even often maligned China has managed to control the problem of taxi touting by ensuring that complaints are not just heard but attended to and affirmative action taken. In fact, in all major cities in the middle kingdom, one does not have to even ask the drivers to turn on the meter.
I can only reckon that complaints in this city just provide an opportunity for the regulators to earn some extra pocket money. I mean why bother punishing them when one can make a quick buck out of them. When policemen regularly stop foreign cars asking for “coffee” money what more underpaid regulators.
It’s situations like this that make me smirk to myself when I remember their goal of reaching the status of a developed nation by 2020. I think they confused the positions of 0 and 2.

How many times have we thought that things would be different only if we slowed down, thought things through. And listened to what other people had to say instead. But aren't we all just human, so fixated on what we want, so caught up with what we can get that we're just flowing along the current of self glorification, slapping ourselves on the back every step of the way. Isn't it just a human instinct to satisfy our own needs before we start to look else where. I mean how can I help you if I can't help myself. Aren't we just human at the end of the day, with ourselves conceivably more important than anything or anyone else for that matter. After all, American values - individualism, carried along radio and TV waves that have been multiplied by the Internet has long planted the seeds on self justification that are so ingrained in us that who can blame us now for thinking "Who cares about what anyone else thinks as long as I'm happy."
